DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO JOIN THE CALEDONIAN BRAVES BOARD?
As we enter a new age for Caledonian Braves, the club is seeking to appoint four Independent Non-Executive Directors to help set our strategic framework for the future, starting with Braves = a commitment to equality and diversity at all levels of the club.
Working alongside the Chairman you will play a pivotal role in achieving the vision for the club as a truly online, inclusive and progressive community. With four board specialisms in technology, governance, creative and content to fill, this is an exciting time to join us on our journey.
Braves = is a promise from the club to be different. To ensure the broadest possible representation, we are committed to recruiting the best people from all backgrounds. We will strive to ensure our board is representative of the BAME community, that it has appropriate gender balance, that younger leaders have a strong voice in the boardroom and that disability is no barrier to achievement.
Chris Ewing, Caledonian Braves Owner: “We have been really explicit on our aspirations for the club to be a true online community and to make that happen, I need help at boardroom level because I cannot do it on my own. The four boardroom positions will arguably be the most important appointments I will make because it will validate our mission to be open to all.
“Also, we want to break the mould be ensuring we have the best candidates but also benefit from expertise in areas that might not figure in traditional boardrooms up and down the country.
“We want creative, innovative minds from diverse backgrounds to make our club a model of sporting inclusivity, and the best way I can describe the candidate spec is that blazers need not apply. It is our ambition to create the most inclusive board in Scottish football, providing boardroom opportunities for professionals under-40.
“We invite candidates from all backgrounds, and with relevant experience in key areas, to apply.”
The four board specialisms:
Tech and Innovation – Technology is at the heart of our ethos and at board level we would love input from someone with a track record of success, who can put the football club at the forefront of this exciting sector. We are seeking a dynamic, hungry and disruptive individual with the right connections to make Braves the most connected club in Scottish football.
Governance and legal – It’s corporate but it doesn’t need to be. We would value someone with a passion for rules and regulations, but a personality is equally important in this role. Blazers need not apply but visionaries who can translate legal jargon into plain English are welcome.
Brand creatives - Braves is a football club with a clear brand ethos. We want to continue to push the boundaries with the sharpest creative thinkers in our boardroom. So, whether you’ve got extensive management experience in a creative agency or in-house, we’d love to have you on board to aid our campaign strategy.
Communications and content – We want the story of the Braves to resonate with many audiences from football, lifestyle and gaming; matchday attendees to mobile experience at home. Whether you’re an industry leader or a content creator with a highly engaged audience, we want your input into our storytelling and content capture.
Candidates should submit their CVs, outlining relevant experience to equal@caledonianbraves.com
