Our fourth transfer of the summer window has been confirmed today, as goalkeeper Kyle King signs for the club!
Shot stopper Kyle joins the club after one season with Elgin City, where he gained valuable experience playing in League Two.
Kyle will come into the Braves squad to push Bernie White for the number one shirt. After signing for the club, Kyle said: "It's just a case of pushing each other, whoever plays the other one supports him. Me and big Bernie have got on well so far, so I'm really looking forward to the season.
"I like using my feet and I'm quite comfortable with build up play. I also feel comfortable with crosses, but I just want to help the team first and foremost!"
Kyle began his career in the youth system of St Mirren, where we worked closely with current Braves goalkeeper coach Ross Paterson. After leaving the Buddies, the Dumbarton native had spells with Queen of the South, Blantyre and Clydebank, before moving to Elgin.
After securing his new 'keeper, Ricky Waddell said: "Kyle has different attributes to Bernie. Kyle's very very competent with the ball at his feet and competent with his hands.
"Kyle's got a real professionalism about himself, he wants to train and he's hungry to improve. It gives the two of them competition and hopefully that drives them forward."
Everyone at the Braves would like to wish a warm welcome to Kyle!
