The Caley Braves are delighted to announce our second signing of the summer window, as midfielder Ryan Murray signs for the club.
Ryan joins the club after spending the last two seasons with Edinburgh University, where he worked under current Braves assistant coach Dorian Ogunro. The midfielder also worked with assistant coach Ross Paterson, throughout his youth career.
A hardworking midfielder, the 19-year-old midfielder will be looking to add both energy and quality in the centre of the park.
Speaking to BravesTV, Ryan said: "Having spoke with the gaffers who are in charge, as I've worked with them before, I was buzzing to get involved. Especially with the expectations and aims that this club have.
"Dorian was my first coach at Edinburgh Uni. He was brilliant with me, he loves his statistics and really gets into the into it. He knows his stuff and we get on really well."
The Dumfries native signed for Edinburgh University in 2022, and was a constant fixture in the Lowland League side. Ryan notched one goal for his former club, which fittingly came against the Braves, during a 1-3 loss for his former side at Peffermill last season.
And despite suffering relegation last season, Ryan loved his experience with the club. "I wouldn't change my two seasons at the uni. I came in at 17 and played men's football right away. It's benefitted me massively.
"I play centre-mid mostly, I'd say I'm more of a number 8. I like to get forward as much as I can, but I also don't mind doing a bit of defending. I'll just try to hopefully score a few more goals this season than I have done previously."
Welcome to ML1 Ryan!
