Scott Cusick Departs the Braves

15th July 2024

The Caledonian Braves can confirm that midfielder Scott Cusick has left the club, due to work commitments outside of the club.

A popular player, Cusi re-joined the club in January 2024 for his second spell, after spending a year away from the club in Australia. Scott initially joined the club as a winger, but moved into the middle of the park with great success during his first spell.

As soon as he returned back to Scotland, Braves manager Ricky Waddell was delighted to welcome Cusi back to the club midway through last season. The gaffer said: "The staff wish Scott all the best. He's been a brilliant lad to work with, always with a good attitude and work ethic. We hope his career goes well and hope to see him down at AP in the future."

The dynamic midfielder immediately picked-up where he left off and made a huge impact to our form in the second half of the season. Scott scored three goals in his 15 appearances in the 23/24 campaign, including a memorable winner in our final day comeback victory against Cowdenbeath.

Cusi's final game for the club came in the Southern Counties Cup final, where he started and played a crucial role in our victory.

We wish Scott the very best in his next chapter, and he'll always be welcome back at Alliance Park. Thanks for all the memories Cusi!
