Breast Cancer Awareness Ball Raffle!

11th September 2024

The Caledonian Braves are delighted to support a campaign alongside the Butler Family, to raffle off a signed ball to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

The ball will be signed by our full squad, and decorated by the players with pink bows and hearts. These will then be used as our training balls before the raffle winner is drawn.

Tickets for the raffle will cost $20, and can be purchased online at the link here.

Chris Butler, whose business Eagleview Events recently sponsored our training kits, said: "Sadly, everyone knows someone that has been affected by breast cancer. We have seen on discord and social media so many owners asking if the Braves get involved in charity and how they can get involved.

"I started talking to Chris Ewing about this and we both agreed that it was a great place to start and a place to kick off many opportunities for charity in the future."

Breast Cancer Now is fighting to change the lives of people affected by breast cancer. Their world-class researchers are working in labs across the UK and Ireland to create a world where the words "breast cancer" are not met with fear.

Our goal is to give $12,000 to Breast Cancer Now in Glasgow and, as a community, show our support to our local Braves family and fans. If even a small percentage of our ownership community buys a ticket, we believe we can smash this target.

Once the Mitre balls have been decorated, they'll be used every day by the lads in training during October, before being raffled in early November. For just $20, you can enter the raffle to have a chance of winning one of two signed balls.

Chris Butler added "I was so pleased at how quickly Ricky and the guys from the team jumped on board and said that they would do anything we asked them to do and how quickly they got involved!

"I just can’t stress enough how great everyone has been to work with. From Chris Ewing, to Ricky and all the players and every coach on the Braves, everyone in media and social media and certainly everyone at Breast Cancer Now.

"I would love to think that we could get a large part of the ownership group and the Braves community to be part of this and raise some money for a good cause. Plus, it gives us another reason to come back to Scotland and pick a winner on November 9 and present a check to the charity. The tickets are already booked!”

Later this week, the playing squad will draw on the pink bows and hearts to the Mitre ball, so keep an eye on our socials to see that.

And finally, we would like to say thanks to everyone in our incredible community who will be buying a ticket for this cause.

Because together, we have power! #FearNone
