After an undefeated month, with 5 wins and 2 draws in our 7 games, our coaching team had a plethora of players to nominate this month.
But the team came together to select the following 4 players for our fans to vote for. Our supporters have already voted Ross McNeil as our goal of the month winner, and they can now select from the following 4 players for our next vote:
Bernie White
The big American in goal was a nearly unbeatable force for the Braves, keeping 4 clean sheets in his 6 appearances. With the only two goals he conceded in the month coming from a free-kick and a penalty, Bernie remained unbeaten from open play throughout these games.
Big Bern topped off his month with a memorable Man of the Match performance, making numerous saves in our 1-0 victory against Broomhill. He also recorded his first assist for the club, to set-up our first goal against Civil Service Strollers.
Jack Brown
Ever dependable at right-back, Jack has shown his versatility at times this season, impressing in his natural berth on the right as well as in the heart of defence.
Jack also played a key role in maintaining our strong defensive record, starting in 6 of our 7 games in August, before dropping out against Berwick due to injury. Jack has once again shown his superb 1 v 1 defending abilities, whilst also helping out in attacking sense with some strong link-up play down the right.
John Guthrie
Our team captain, John has once again been an indispensable cog in everything we've done right. Marshalling our midfield with authority, our longest serving player has continued his superb partnership with Kristian Gkegka from last season.
The central midfielder has shown his versatility at times as well, gladly stepping in to fill in at right-back and even centre-back when we've been reduced to ten men this season. An ever present in the league last season, John started every game in August.
Ross McNeil
Our goal-scorer in chief, Ross McNeil bagged 6 goals during in his 7 matches in August, playing a huge roll in our success in the early season. The club captain started 5 of our 7 games in August, and has proven he's not lost a yard from his superb goalscoring campaign last season
The clinical striker was already voted as our winner for goal of the month with his late winner against Broomhill, so could he top off the perfect month by winning this one too?
