Caledonian Braves are delighted to announce that top goalscorer Ross McNeil has joined up with the Braves once again for the 2020/21 Lowland League season.
Ross was pivotal part to our inaugural season as the Caledonian Braves netting 23 goals in all competitions throughout the 2019/20 season, as well as finishing runner up in the Lowland League's Top Goalscoring charts.
On re-signing, McNeil said " I spoke to the gaffer towards the end of last season, it was quite an easy decision. I enjoy it here, I enjoy working with the gaffer and the boys."
Due to the league ending early Ross was disappointed not to claim a benchmark of 20 league goals but explains that this just gives him more hunger for the next season.
"I wanted to get 30 at the start of the season, that was my aim. So finishing with 23 overall, a wee bit disappointing but there are more important things going on in the world at the moment."
Ross has big aims for the club next year saying " I think we started well and had decent spells throughout, we want to progress and I am ambitious. We beat our points total last season and we want to do that again. For me it's finishing as high as we can."
On his own personal goals for the season " To score goals. First and foremost play every week, and hopefully the goals will come."
