The club are delighted to announce our first two signings of 2024, as Ricky Waddell strengthens his squad in the January window!
Firstly, we're absolutely delighted to welcome back Scott Cusick to the club, after the player returns from a year playing in Australia.
Scott played with the club in the first half of the 2022/23 season, joining as a winger before impressing after moving into the middle of the park.
The 21-year-old left the club last January to take up an exciting opportunity in Australia, but was keen to come back to the Braves upon returning to Scotland over last month.
The midfielder has also played for Celtic, Dunfermline, Brechin, Broomhill and Gala Fairydean Rovers throughout the earlier years of his career.
Alongside Scott, we were also pleased to welcome 18-year-old Jay Gibb to the club.
A natural right-back, speaking to Braves TV, Jay said: "In the last few years I've changed my game up to be a lot more attacking.
When I was younger I was a lot more defensive minded but I definitely like to get forward more now".
Ricky Waddell watched Jay during his time with previous club Alloa Athletic, and he also spent time with Hamilton, Yoker and St Johnstone before finding his way to Alliance Park this month.
Welcome to the club lads!
